Main Idea, Inspiration, and Sketches

A sensitive and tender couple whose engagement story inspired us to create a Vogue-style wedding. The refined and stylish decor in a black-and-white palette with small bright accents is the perfect concept.

Venue Selection

Despite the proposal taking place in a café, we sought an open-air venue. We didn't aim to literally replicate the café's interior. Additionally, after seven months of the Far Eastern winter, everyone was eager to breathe in the scent of summer.

The venue needed to be impeccably maintained, with accommodation for guests and the capability to host a fireworks display. An essential criterion was having a space suitable for an outdoor ceremony.

Invitations

Just as a theater starts with the cloakroom, a wedding begins with the invitation. We wanted to create the right impression of the upcoming event without shocking guests with the black-and-white color scheme. We incorporated bright peonies into the design. The couple's names were embossed in silver. The envelope was made from a tactilely pleasing designer paper called Touch Cover.

Morning

This is a special day, and setting the right mood starts in the morning. We decorated the bride's room, filling it with charming details to make the morning feel magical. Gleb got ready at his parents' house, honoring a family tradition we didn't overlook.

Stroll

As you can imagine, our winters are long, so we wanted to make the most of the opportunity to be outside. The weather on the wedding day was perfect for a stroll.

The couple ventured far out of the city and enjoyed each other's company: they hugged, kissed, and ran barefoot on the pristine sand, soaking in every bit of positive emotion from the day.

Welcome Area

We organized a separate area for guests to gather. In our view, the perfect fit for the wedding concept was a cheese table accompanied by red wine and chilled lemonade. Nearby, we set up the seating chart for guests to review while waiting for the couple.

Ceremony

The bride wanted "something beautiful, stylish, and without flowers." We remembered this phrase clearly from our first meeting with the couple. Another detail we noted was the groom's height—he's a basketball player. This inspired us to create something grand jet light. We achieved this by using asymmetrical draped grey-graphite chiffon, mounted on a 2.8-meter-high.

To ensure the ceremony area didn't look flat, we did add some floral arrangements on large column pedestals. We also completely transformed the ceremony surface. The floor was made white and matte with a black isle. We placed the famous Chiavari chairs, which completed the concept perfectly.

Dinner

The sweetheart table was our special love. We lavishly draped the couple's table with sequin fabric in a shade of silver. Behind it, we set up panels of varying heights and colors. The guests' tables were round, covered with black matte tablecloths. In the center, we placed black-and-white striped runners and set lush floral arrangements on transparent cylindrical vases.

It was touching, heartfelt, fun, and full of energy.
